Personal Donor Stories

On behalf of Christendom College, we would like to thank all of our current donors for their generosity and support. Here are some of their stories.

I'm just so pleased that when some money came to me by my sister, I could do some real good by supporting Christendom College. The College offers a faithful Catholic education that, unfortunately, is so lacking these days. I can trust Christendom to teach the truth rather than the moods and trends of the day. I consider it such an honor to be part of the Christendom community.

Besides the good accomplished, doing an annuity with Christendom is practical because it enables me to still obtain income from the funds for me in my retirement years when they are most needed. If I had lots of money, I’d send it to you!

My wife, Marie, and I heard of Christendom through Dr. Jeff Mirus, one of the College’s founding faculty, even before the Mirus family moved to Virginia to be a part of the first Christendom community.

Catholic higher education is where it’s happening today and I just love the excellent work being accomplished by all those young people at Christendom College. I’m proud to have been supporting their efforts since even before it was founded by Dr. Warren Carroll in the 1970s. I just can’t think of a more deserving group to help out through estate planning!

“When you have extra funds, send a contribution to Christendom College, a fine, truly Catholic college.” That is what my dear brother, Fr. Stephen Michael Cvaniga of Mishawaka, Indiana, said to me in 1988. (God called him to heaven on October 28, 1993.)

For over fifteen years I have made regular contributions to Christendom College, and am benefiting financially by participating in Christendom’s Planned Giving Program which provides income with generous tax advantages, plus Christendom’s special prayers.

Leslie and I arranged an annuity through Christendom College’s Planned Giving Program to achieve two objectives.

Principally, we sought to provide material support to the College, whose faculty unapologetically teaches the truth and adheres to the Catholic Church’s magisterium. We believe it is vital that Christendom grows stronger so that it may continue to prepare young Catholic leaders for the next generation. Second, the income from our Christendom annuity was an important and beneficial part of our estate planning.

Its been a blessing for us to offer substantive support to this wonderful Catholic higher educational apostolate and, at the same time, accomplish our financial goals.
